More times than I can count, I've found myself thinking,
"I wish someone had told me this."
That's why I created Lost Holiday.
It's the resource I wish I'd had: a place where I share honest stories, practical advice, and thoughtfully curated resources to help make life's biggest adventures feel a little less overwhelming.
Whether you're planning a trip, moving abroad, becoming a mom, or simply creating a life that looks different than you imagined, I hope you leave here feeling a little more prepared-and a little less alone.

MY STORY
I grew up in Miami in a Cuban-American family before moving to Las Vegas when I was eleven. Even as a kid, I was fascinated by different cultures and the way travel could completely change your perspective. That curiosity eventually led me to study abroad in San Sebastián, Spain. Those months traveling through Europe changed my life. I came home knowing that travel would always be part of my story.
After traveling abroad, I moved back to Miami to help care for my grandfather during his battle with cancer. A few years later, I eventually returned to Las Vegas to begin my career.
A few years after that, I moved to San Diego, where I built a career in fitness, leadership, and community. I trained hundreds of instructors and helped launch studios across the country.
Then everything changed.
In 2020, my dad unexpectedly passed away. Overnight, I returned to Las Vegas to help my family continue the business he had built from the ground up. It was one of the hardest chapters of my life, but it taught me resilience, perspective, and the importance of showing up for the people you love.
Not long after, life surprised me again... in the best way. I met my husband, Efraín, at a wedding. He grew up in Bogotá, Colombia. We spent a year and a half navigating a long-distance relationship before deciding to build our life together in Cabo San Lucas while we waited for his U.S. immigration process.
Since then, we've planned an international wedding, honeymooned through Spain, welcomed our daughter in Mexico, and built a family that spans multiple countries, cultures, and languages.
Today, Cabo is home. But home has become much bigger than one place. It's wherever the people we love are.
Why I Started Lost Holiday
When I was planning my wedding, I wished someone had explained the details no one talks about.
When I was navigating immigration paperwork, I wished someone had walked me through the process.
When I had a baby abroad, I wished someone had told me what to expect-not just medically, but emotionally and logistically too.
Instead, I found myself piecing together information from dozens of websites, Facebook groups, online forums, and late-night Google searches.
Some of it was helpful. A lot of it wasn't.
I realized there were so many women building lives that looked a little different than the traditional path, but very few places where someone was sharing those experiences honestly.
So I created the resource I wish I'd had.
Lost Holiday is part travel journal, part practical resource library, and part conversation with the friend who's already been through it.
My hope is that every guide, story, and recommendation helps you feel a little more prepared, and a lot less alone.
